  1. I loved my DEJay from the time he was first placed in my hands he was 6 weeks and 3 days old until his last breath when he was 11 years old, I laid in the floor facing him he licked my nose turned around and went over the rainbow bridge. Not a day goes by I don’t miss my beagle boy, as I so affectionately called him.

  2. This totally messed me up. About a month ago I had to endure the #20 with my best friend, Patches. He passed on in the backseat of our vehicle surrounded by his family. We were petting him the whole time and telling him how loved he was. It was still just so heartbreaking to see him leave his family, and to see the confusion in our other beagle’s face when his brother stopped responding. These members of our family bring so much joy to our lives, and the fact that their lifespans are so much shorter then our own is a special type of cruelty. But they are always worth it in the end. Love you Patches <3

  3. So true. Our Kendra was the light of life when we got her, and we lost her too young at 6 years old. I still cry for her, but we didn’t last long without some sort of “beagle” in the house, and now we hope she’s happy watching her “little sister” Daisy (1/2 beagle, 1/2 german shepard) play with her big brother and all her toys. <3

  4. Barkley doesn’t have much time left, Cushing’ s disease. He has been the best dog any human could ask for. We will miss him terribly! He was a rescue beagle and a month ago we adopted another beagle in his honor to love.

  5. My baby girl Sophie passed away on Monday. She had dental surgery performed on Wednesday. She apparently was anemic and we did not know it. I rescued her a little over a year and a half ago. I was with her until her end. I absolutely love her so much.
