Oh Huskies… the breed that has become one of the most popular of all dog breeds in the United States (and among celebrities)…
Is it because of their playful, free-spirited, friendly and good-natured personality? or all of the above?
Huskies have a zest for life that is unmatched by few breeds. Every time a Husky is outside, it’s as if it’s his first time and well into adulthood Huskies play with the vigor of a puppy.
Their exotic, wolf-like appearance makes Huskies appealing to many people, and their even temperament, love of other dogs and indifference to strangers makes them ideal family dogs.
But as popular as they’ve become, you might be shocked to know that they are the worst dogs to live with… and there are 19 reasons for it.
Check out the 19 reasons why Huskies are the worst dogs to live with on the next page:

They run. Its just what they do. I would say 90-95 percent of Huskies will not be able to be off leash. They are bred to run and run they do, I have a Husky, GSD, and cane corso x rottweiler mix and only my Husky needs a lead.

up close of the lead and how we have it set up so she can play with the others without running away.

I learned the hard way. My husky Taz got to come to work with me for almost the first year of his life & one night got home. Went around & opened truck door to let him out to go in house with me. He jumped out & went running down our street to main street just half a block south (heavy traffic). I called & called & then screamed his name with a scream I didn’t know I had in me. Luckily he spun around & came running back. Had fenced in back yard & right before he turned 2. Learned how to climb fence & 1st time he got out (which I thought he had squeezed under) their was a dead possum just outside of back fence & dead possum in front yard. 2nd time dead possum again just outside fence in back & thought maybe he squeezed through where fence met house. 3rd & final time found tags caught up on top of fence & he was missing for 9 days. One of the worst 9 days of my life, but thankfully in going to bunch of different places looking & leaving flyers.Walked in a Vets office & lil girl looked at picture & said that dog just left here. Called the man & got him back. So even in a fenced in yard unfortunately has to be on lead too. Had some people give me crap about it once. How cruel I was. I told them come down the road here a ways & I can show you the flattened out dog the owners loved so much! Idiots!

I’m lucky with my boy I can let him off leash at dog beach, and he usually listens but they can be very stubborn

I have a husky/labrador x and we let him off the lead not long after we got him and used treats to train him, he will sometimes run off to play with another dog but usually we get him back on the lead if we spot any, maybe thats the lab in him.

We take our husky to dog parks to be off leash. Had to run after her once, when she got out of our motor home. Who knew I could run so fast. My shoes weren’t even tied lol.

Absolutely NOT!!! Do not believe this. We have three huskies and they are the very best of pets. I have a good friend who has eight huskies. Their family loves the unconditionally. Huskies are perfect pets.
