These comical clowns love to play games and has a great sense of humor. They are loyal little dogs, very attached to their family, and they firmly believe that sleeping under the bedcovers is in the Dachshund Bill of Rights.

Dachshunds attract devoted followers who would never consider having any other breed. Indeed, Dachshunds are often kept in pairs, which is A-OK with them, since they seem to recognize and prefer being with other “wiener dogs”.

    Over half what they are saying is NOT true, I have one and he is loyal, loving, sweet baby. He so excited when we get home to see us and gives ALOT of kisses. This is NOT true about Dachshunds..

    My Eevee is the kindest, most affectionate little dog ever. She’s so in tune with human emotion and always wags her whole body with excitement when I come in to see her. She has never growled or been aggressive and gets on well with everyone. She’s saved me from mental illness and is my world. Us dachsie owners know the truth! These dogs are amazing and have wonderful characters. ❤️

    Our long-haired dachshund is extremely intelligent and very protective of our other pets and family. She actually saved my mother’s life! One day, while I was working in our basement, our dachshund started barking hysterically! That is so unlike her that I knew immediately something was wrong! I quickly ran upstairs and she directed me towards my mom’s room. When I checked in on her, I found my mom hunched over choking on a peanut! It was terrifying, but thank goodness I was given enough time to actual perform the hemlock maneuver.

    I will never forget that day or how our dachsund reacted so quickly to what could have been a complete tragedy. Thank goodness for our little Gretchen.
