19 Reasons Why Chihuahuas Are The Worst Dogs To Live With

Oh Chihuahuas… the smallest breed of dog named for the state of Chihuahua in Mexico, that has become one of the most popular of all dog breeds in the United States (and among celebrities)…

Is it because of being the world's smallest dog yet having the world's biggest personality stashed inside that tiny body? That larger-than-life persona that makes him appealing to men and women alike? or all of the above?

Fun and busy, Chihuahuas like nothing better than to be close to their people. They follow them everywhere in the house and ride along in tote bags when their people run errands or go shopping.

It's not unusual for Chihuahuas to form a close bond with a single person, and they can become very demanding if they're overindulged.

But as popular as they’ve become, you might be shocked to know that they are the worst dogs to live with… and there are 19 reasons for it.

Check out the 19 reasons why Chihuahuas are the worst dogs to live with on the next page:

  1. My peaches the little girl can be testy when people first arrive at my house but they are only doing what is normal for them protecting us . once they see there’s nothing wrong they are fine . they both follow me around the house and both meet me at front door when I get home from work . i love them like family . i had co-worker once tell me that because I had chi she never would come to my house . only because when she was little she had bad experience with her grandma’s chi .

  2. Roula Liagouris YOU are the moron. I know that there are friendly pit bulls but I grew up in a housing project where we had vicious pitbulls that attacked children and the cops when the drug dealers sent them out. Furthermore have you ever watched the TV court shows and seen that most of the dog bite cases involve pitbulls. The configuration of their jaws is such that when they clamp down it locks and it’s almost impossible to open it. I have a friend and neighbor who owns one and as much as he adores me and wants to play I am VERY careful around him and wish they wouldn’t have him around their 4 year old daughter. So maybe do some research before you hurl insults!

  3. We had a pitbull for 12 yrs. She never bit anyone. She loved people and we had her around our grandchildren with no problem. She passed of cancer at the age of 14 and I miss her greatly. I think it depends on the upbringing of the owners as to their temperment. She had no idea she was supposed to be mean!

  4. My chi little Nikita is so beautiful and she loves my family after starvation and dropped in a shelter I rescued her and took good care of her.she is with me almost 4month and she looks healthy and is happy.we love her to pieces.
