They've been known to be great companion dogs that love to please the owners, despite the fact that they were bred for hunting and dog fighting purposes back in the 19th century.
During the war, they worked as messengers, but since have become popular as family pets. Although they are gentle with humans, they make great guard dogs as well.

Hi William Riley Burcham it is illegal to dock tails and clip ears in Aus . You can only dock them for medical reasons .
