    This is Piper Rue and her 1st birthday is tomorrow! She has stolen our hearts. She loves to give kisses and sleep in your lap. She’s definitely a barker and goes to the bathroom where she wants to go! Need advice on getting this baby 100% potty trained!

    Denise Nisey Elliott My yorkie had a liver shunt and lived to be almost 15. When she was about 2 or 3 she went limp and we thought she was dying. We rushed her to the vet but was awake when we got there… Through many tests she was diagnosed with the liver shunt. Vet put her on prescription KD canned food and lactolose… Later put on LD food. I think that saved her . She didn’t have any episodes after that. I put the lactolose on her food.

    My sweet Paris.. She is 3 years old and is such a good girl! She has always been 100% pee pee pad trained.. Never has an accident…However, when we leave and don’t take her if she gets mad she will get in the trash. She is ALWAYS with us even when we go potty… Lol

    I’ve learned crate training is good first step. Going outside every 2 hours, over exaggerate your praises when she potties outside, and reward with a treat when you get back in.
    I always put mine in a time out when she had accidents. Took me about 2 weeks to get her completely housebroken.

    I can’t get the article to load, but we’ve had nothing BUT Yorkies for over 30 years and they all have been exceptional pets. It’s all in how you raise them (just like kids) lol
