Small in size but big in personality, the Yorkshire Terrier makes a feisty but loving companion.
The most popular toy dog breed in the U.S., the “Yorkie” has won many fans with his devotion to his owners, his elegant looks, and his suitability to apartment living.
Some Yorkshire Terriers are bright and quick to learn, while others are rather willful and opinionated. Yorkies often dislike walking on a leash and may dart to and fro until taught how to behave.
Well, while Yorkies continue to be one of the most beloved dog breeds, there are reasons to believe that Yorkshire Terriers are actually the worst dogs to live with… EVER!
Check out the 18 reasons why Yorkies are the worst dogs to live with on the next page!

I live my Rusty but I do hate him going in the house I can’t potty train him. He tries to bite anyone that comes over. If you don’t catch him in time your chasing him for ever. He won’t let my grandkids by me without growls and bites.

Thank you for sharing your story with me. My yorkie developed epilepsy. being that he only weighed 4.5 pds. it was too hard to control. Too large of dose of phenebarbitol would only make him sleep all the time, and too small made him seizure. It was a hard decision to part with him, but I felt it was the right one. I also would have spent any amount of money on him as I would on any one of my 3 kids. He was family and always will be.

Yes, I agree totally with you. Our pets become such a part of the family it is definitely hard to lose them when we do. We now have a Chihuahua/Jack Russel mix that we adopted through the Humane Society. We have had her going on 10 years in July. She is as smart as a whistle and brings such joy to our lives. I too, like you, worry about how I will handle her passing when that time comes. I lost both my parents within 6 weeks of each other, it will be a year ago on June 2nd. I can’t convey enough what a comfort Ginger has been for me. I believe also that she feels my pain at times. She senses so much I do believe she is human at times!
