    Number 15 brought tears to my eyes as I just (Dec. 29th) lost our beloved Maximilian von Peanut age 11 3/4 years to heart disease. Thank God we had rescued Jasmine in April of last year. Even she was heart-broken, looking all over the house for him.

    I have had Dachshunds since 1985 all had been abused. They lived fro 16 -to 17 years. The last one He at 7 PM smiled at me when I said his name and wagged his tail like a maniac and passed away. I miss the little guy as he was my best friend but now am looking for one and when I find that one I will love him/her forever
