Deciding to get a pet, and caring for it thereafter, is a big responsibility. Taking this kind of step can change your life, but equally it changes the life of an animal as well. I remember picking our dog up from the shelter. The walk to the door was exciting, she rode in the front seat looking out the window, her stubby tale just wagging away. I could just feel her excitement. But if you ask my daughter she arrived on a sleigh with Santa and Rudolph. Best decision ever made.
