Cocker Spaniels are dogs belonging to two breeds of the spaniel dog type: the American Cocker Spaniel and the English Cocker Spaniel, both of which are commonly called simply Cocker Spaniel in their countries of origin.

The American Cocker Spaniel is a breed of sporting dog. It is a spaniel type dog that is closely related to the English Cocker Spaniel; the two breeds diverged during the 20th century due to differing breed standards in America and the UK. The English Cocker Spaniel is a breed of gun dog. The English Cocker Spaniel is an active, good-natured, sporting dog standing well up at the withers and compactly built.   1. this is full of$#%&!@*!! i had a black one and he was the best dog ive ever had around kids and family till he got to old and i had to let him go. so no way r u or anyone else ever going to tell me i shouldnt have one

  3. I’ve been rescuing Cocker Spaniels all of my adult life…they are the absolute best dogs!!! My latest is 11.5 years old and I have had her for 10 years. She no longer hears as she has had surgery on both ears; but she hasn’t skipped a beat. She is still protective, loving, and beautiful!!! She has saved my life in more ways than I’ll ever be able to thank her. Every day I wake up so very thankful that she is still with me. She knows how much she is loved; and if I had it my way, I’d want to come back as my dog!!! I love you Chelsea Marie!!!!
