12 Reasons Why Dachshunds Are Actually The Worst Breed EVER

Ask any dachshund owner and they'll all tell you, without exception, that there’s no other dog worth owning. Dachshunds are not only one of the most popular breeds in America, but also one of the most loved today.

But why are these Sausage dogs (a.k.a. Weiner dogs, Doxies, Dashies, etc.) so popular today? Is it their irresistible sausage body, stubby legs and waving tails? or their bravery and loyalty to their humans?

The stubborn characteristics of dachshunds (making them a little difficult to train) can be traced back to those days spent learning and evolving into being great underground hunters. If they were easily swayed, they couldn’t have survived.

Well, whatever the case may be, there are reasons to believe that Dachshunds are actually the worst dog breed EVER!

  1. I didn’t know. The first dachshund I had got a back injury before I got him. He froze up a couple of times and scared the crap out of me. Did booboo have a injury or age related.

  2. Poor baby. What happened ? Someone accidentally closed a door on little bit and hurt her back. She lived to be 12 then got brain tumor. She was 6 when i got her. She was just used to make babies for them. No where near as fiesty as banjo but banjo had a better life from the beginning. But little bit was my baby girl.

  3. BooBoo after 2nd surgery at MSU, he was 12 then, lived another 12 until last Thanksgiving 15. I’m still not over it and never will be, Getting Banjo is the only thing that saved me.

  4. She took on a pitbull and 2 labs, had her skull crushed, lost an eye, ribs broken and ripped all the skin from around her neck. 2 1/2 years later she is just as ornery as ever. Won’t have her any other way.

  5. This Banjo driving same boat, who acts and looks exactly like BooBoo, except Banjo pushes open the bathroom door all the time, Boo ever did that because he would never walk on any floor without carpet. We had carpet runners everywhere for Boo, even in garages.
