12 Reasons Why Dachshunds Are Actually The Worst Breed EVER

Ask any dachshund owner and they'll all tell you, without exception, that there’s no other dog worth owning. Dachshunds are not only one of the most popular breeds in America, but also one of the most loved today.

But why are these Sausage dogs (a.k.a. Weiner dogs, Doxies, Dashies, etc.) so popular today? Is it their irresistible sausage body, stubby legs and waving tails? or their bravery and loyalty to their humans?

The stubborn characteristics of dachshunds (making them a little difficult to train) can be traced back to those days spent learning and evolving into being great underground hunters. If they were easily swayed, they couldn’t have survived.

Well, whatever the case may be, there are reasons to believe that Dachshunds are actually the worst dog breed EVER!

  1. Dachshunds are by far the best breed ever! Melody has wrapped us around her paw with ease. They are so sweet you can help spoiling them. Melody goes everywhere with us and is always the center of attention.

  2. The wedding one brings back so many memories. We got married in our back yard, small and perfect. Our little girl was part of the whole thing. I just love looking back at the pictures. All of these made me laugh. I have5 doxies and they fit the bill. I wouldnt change a thing about them though. This is the only pic i have of all 5 together. It is almost impossible to get them together when they are awake. Love my babies!

  3. I love the seniors! I have one, we have had her since 7 weeks. We just adopted a senior boy in november. The become grumpy little things as they age, but it is well deserved and i would do anything for them!

  4. I agree! I havent found one that last more than a day. Forget the soft plushies. Those last maybe 15 seconds and make my living room look like a bomb went off. Love my babies and they still each get a new toy a month. I have 5 spolied doxies 🙂

  5. Our daughter and her husband have a pit/dane and she knows my older doxie is the boss and what she says is final. It is interesting to watch. The big dog definately listens to the littles.
