12 Reasons Why Dachshunds Are Actually The Worst Breed EVER

Ask any dachshund owner and they'll all tell you, without exception, that there’s no other dog worth owning. Dachshunds are not only one of the most popular breeds in America, but also one of the most loved today.

But why are these Sausage dogs (a.k.a. Weiner dogs, Doxies, Dashies, etc.) so popular today? Is it their irresistible sausage body, stubby legs and waving tails? or their bravery and loyalty to their humans?

The stubborn characteristics of dachshunds (making them a little difficult to train) can be traced back to those days spent learning and evolving into being great underground hunters. If they were easily swayed, they couldn’t have survived.

Well, whatever the case may be, there are reasons to believe that Dachshunds are actually the worst dog breed EVER!

  1. Mine too. The little$#%&!@*snipes them from our other dog and won’t give them up for anything. Until I spread them around the house again and make her work for it. It’s funny to watch

  2. Whoever made these questions up obviously doesnt know anything about owning a doxie because none of them are true. It depends on how they are raised for one thing. Both my dogs were well behaved…..most of the time but they were never destructive except with their toys when younger like all dogs are. They are very lovable no matter what, at least my dogs were. So with all that is said it depends on the owner who raised them. So if people want to put down dachshunds they should think twice and consider putting down other breeds like the labradoodle for instance. Its all about the training. So dont judge dogs by what people are saying, it just depends on how you train them. I for one would never trade my dogs for the world. They were my everything.

  3. This is Peanut. He is looking innocent in this picture but that is far from true. He likes to harass my mom’s 14 year old dachshund and his dad who is 12 years old. His best friend is a pit bull who he also bosses around. He is the only dachshund that howls when he doesn’t get what he wants.
