Ask any dachshund owner and they'll all tell you, without exception, that there’s no other dog worth owning. Dachshunds are not only one of the most popular breeds in America, but also one of the most loved today.

But why are these Sausage dogs (a.k.a. Weiner dogs, Doxies, Dashies, etc.) so popular today? Is it their irresistible sausage body, stubby legs and waving tails? or their bravery and loyalty to their humans?

The stubborn characteristics of dachshunds (making them a little difficult to train) can be traced back to those days spent learning and evolving into being great underground hunters. If they were easily swayed, they couldn’t have survived.

Well, whatever the case may be, there are reasons to believe that Dachshunds are actually the worst dog breed EVER!

    All those 12 reason you listed are the most stupid reason I’ve ever heard. My 3 Dachshunds are the most amazing dogs. I live my babies and would not trade them for nobody else. So keep your comments to yourself and I think your the lazy$#%&!@* Lmao

    Old picture from Christmas. Penny and Sheldon are blood brother and sister and are actually chiweenies l. They will be 2 in July. If they aren’t watching me cook, watching me eat, or begging for food. They’re sleeping…. My 2 lazy dogs.

    My Sam. Sweetest dog you’ll ever meet. Barks at everything, loves cats, and is always laying on momma. I’ve had him for 7 years and he’s still just as spunky and adventurous as the day I brought him home as a pup. Assassinates squeaker toys on spot, chews any and all stuffed animals left on the floor and attacks with kisses the minute he feels you wake up and move in the morning. Wouldn’t trade this baby for the world.

    Mine is very stubborn and very spoiled, though she’s overly people friendly, loves attention, but she HATES other dogs, she’s lunged full force at grate danes, and smaller dogs. But she’s adorable and likes to help catch mice and find the cat when we can’t find him.
