    At five years, my buddy Oscar was unable to walk without my assistance for nearly two months. I gave him pain meds., extra good food, and love. I exercised his hind legs (like physical therapy) each evening for approx. 20 mins. Very slowly he came back to 100% …. next time it happened, I did the same thing … only much sooner. Oscar lived to the ripe old age of 14 1/2 … blind, deaf, incontinent but on all fours! He really had a good life.
