They are known to be easy going, tolerant, sociable, mild mannered and happy dog. Due to these qualities, they tend to be good with kids and get along with other pets.

They also enjoy companionship and being part of a family. They may become lonely if not receiving enough attention and left alone all the time though.

Basset Hounds are also often described as clownish or comical and they really can be quite silly. Sometimes just looking at them make us laugh… LOL

    Note that there are usually two bassets in the pictures. You cannot be a one dog owner with a basset. They howl if left alone in single status and you get nasty notes on your door from your otherwise lovely neighbors.

    Really miss Buddy but your pictures of these guys get to me. No dogs until we get through Stefie showers, Craig engagement party, wedding and back home from Florida, then might consider.
