110 Horses Gallop To The Pasture In A Line

If you visit Duchess Sanctuary you’ll be counting the horses as they trot by. The 1120-acre ranch for rescued horses is located outside of Oakland, Oregon and takes in many formerly abused, abandoned, neglected, and homeless horses.

Many of the horses at the sanctuary come from the Pregnant Mare Urine (PMU) industry. Although the horses are free to roam, the horses are rotated to different pastures from time to time.
