Dogs Display The Saddest Eyes, Begging To Be Saved From Their Life Of Hell

More than 100 neglected dogs and puppies are now safe and recovering after they were rescued from a Louisiana puppy mill.

The dogs spent their lives in filthy cages, never having had received medical attention or care. They had ear infections, rotten teeth, and matted and dirty fur.

They were used to produce puppies for profit, and then put back in their small cages where they were ignored.

“They lived their lives in cramped spaces without the joys of being loved and being a dog. They have finally been set free,” Harbor Humane Society wrote on Facebook.

Harbor Humane is one of the organizations who helped rescue dogs from this puppy mill. They were able to transport 56 of the dogs to Michigan shelters, and 20 of them are at Harbor Humane, where they’re receiving the best care until they’re adopted.

Luckily, some have already found homes, but others are still waiting. The dogs available for adoption would do best with owners who are patient and live in calm and quiet homes, since many of the dogs are skittish after spending their lives in small cages with little to no human interaction.

Harbor Humane hopes this rescue will encourage people to adopt their next pet instead of buying one.

“Please think about the mothers in the mill before you buy a pet on line or at a pet store,” they wrote. “Puppy mills come in all shapes and disguises. Don’t be fooled. Do your homework. Stop this cycle of cruelty by choosing adoption.”
