1. The life expectancy of German Shepherds is relatively very short when compared to humans'.

The thought of not having your beautiful German Shepherd around is a terrible thought, but one that must be faced eventually.

Healthy German Shepherds that are properly cared for usually live between 11 and 13 years. There have been many German Shepherds that have lived well past 13 years old. It is difficult to determine exactly how long your specific GSD will live without knowing its health history.

But you must remind yourself that it's much much shorter than you might realize…

    Had shepard when my kids were tiny. We were fishing one day on a dock. A little boy reached for their tackle box. Prince gently took the little ones hand in his mouth and said no no in doggie language. Amazing dogs very protective.

    I agree with most of them except the one where it says German Shepherds don’t understand speech’s, my German Shepherd had the runs a couple of weeks ago and I told her if she wanted to go out just wake me up and I’ll let you out, she woke me up at 4 in the morning and I let her out, so I like think it what I said to her.

    What a beautiful gentle dog.I simply adore the breed they have everything going for them.They are beautiful to look at, fun to play with,they would take a bullet for you and they don’t yap yap yap about nothing !!
