10 Realities New Boston Terrier Owners Must Learn To Accept

Boston Terriers are very individualistic: Some are high-spirited and clownish, some are calm and dignified, even placid. Some are stubborn characters, while others are sweet and gentle.

But in general, the Boston Terrier is an altogether dapper and charming little dog. Playing games and chasing balls are (frequently) two of his passions.

Seeking companionship is another, for the Boston always wants to be with his family. His large expressive eyes, attentively cocked head, and snorting and snuffling sounds bring out parental feelings in many people.

If you are considering to own a boston terrier, or you’ve just become a new boston terrier owner, there are some realities you do need to fully accept.

  1. Oh so sorry! It’s hard for sure. Lost my 2 Boston’s just a month apart, even though they were very old I wasn’t ready in my heart. Took almost 2 years and some sneeky on my DH’s part to get another. I still cry sometimes.

  2. Eva, I am sorry for your loss and thoroughly can connect with you on Honey’s importance to you. My two girls, Tilly and Ava, have been my blessing and life savers many times in my life. When I was so depressed and ready to end it, they gave me reason to go on. I worried who’d care for them without me. Besides, how would they feel if I left them after all we’ve meant to each other. Tilly is the black and white one. If you care to friend me and chat anytime, that would be good with me. My wife and I are members of NEBTR. I can explain it if you’d like. Good luck and hug Honey for me, please. There isn’t a Boston Terrier I’ve met that I didn’t love.
