10 Realities New Boston Terrier Owners Must Learn To Accept

Boston Terriers are very individualistic: Some are high-spirited and clownish, some are calm and dignified, even placid. Some are stubborn characters, while others are sweet and gentle.

But in general, the Boston Terrier is an altogether dapper and charming little dog. Playing games and chasing balls are (frequently) two of his passions.

Seeking companionship is another, for the Boston always wants to be with his family. His large expressive eyes, attentively cocked head, and snorting and snuffling sounds bring out parental feelings in many people.

If you are considering to own a boston terrier, or you’ve just become a new boston terrier owner, there are some realities you do need to fully accept.

  1. My husband grew up with no pets…..and the idea of a animal living in the house with us was repulsive to him. I one the other hand grew up with a menagerie or pets…one day a co-worker asked me if I could take her dog, a10 month old b.t…..if I didnt take it that day she was taking her to the pound. …well, needless to say, I came home with a puppy. My husband was none too happy…but Izzy managed to worm his way into his heart and has become daddys little girl! Our house will never be “childless” again!

  2. My Bt is almost 13 and love him to death , he has brought us much laughter and joy . I’m currently looking for younger BT to have in our home to have our current BT help train. Any help in looking , much appreciated ! I’m in Florida

  3. This is Beau, my Boston! I was diagnosed with MS last year and if I’m having a bad day with it Beau doesn’t let me out of his sight, even getting up during the night to walk to the bathroom with me!
