As its name implies, this dog breed doesn't have any fur or heavy coat to contend with. It can have some short hair on its feet, on the top of its head, or on the tip of tis tail. But, breeders in Peru prefer completely hairless dogs.
Also called ‘Peruvian Inca Orchid', their skin colors can range from chocolate brown, elephant grey, copper, or the dog may have mottled skin.
The interesting thing is that the eye color is linked to the skin and is always brown. But some dogs with lighter skin can have clearer eyes, making them sometimes more desirable.
These dogs are slim and elegant. They are affectionate with family, but dislike strangers as most dogs. They are supposed to be very protective of women and children.
Because they don't have all that hair to contend with, owning them is really easy. And you can wash the dog with a sponge.
No hair also means no fleas or other bugs crawling around your home and family.
One other amazing thing to note is that the dog is an ancient breed and was kept during the Inca Empire and were kept as pets in pre-Inca cultures.
Cots for this dog can range greatly due to who is breeding it and what colors the dog is. But you could expect to pay six hundred dollars ($600 USD) to one thousand dollars ($1000 USD).
