   Remember to lock your car windows. Once my dog managed to open the electric window in a grocery store parking lot. He didn’t go anywhere, but it was scary.

   Air con does not work unless the engine is running. So your dog was not getting the benefit of it.

    If by “posh cars” you mean pretty much any model car produced after like 2010, then yes. And aftermarket remote start systems have been a thing for like 20 years now.

    Engine idling with AC on in hot weather. What if engine overheats and stalls out. You’re in store and don’t know it. Why not leave dog safe at home in hot weather? Now tell me, “dog wants to go with me”. It’s a DOG. Has an owner cause owner is supposed to be smarter and care for dog.
