The City of Delavan Police Department is looking for the owners of 2 extremely emaciated dogs who were dumped in a Walmart parking lot before Thanksgiving.
The poor dogs have been starved to such an extent that every bone in their body is visible.

The dogs were brought to the Lakeland Animal Shelter for emergency care.
Initial reports revealed that the dogs are in a delicate condition as their vital organs aren’t functioning properly due to prolonged starvation.
Once the damage to their health is assessed, the staff will start feeding the dogs again in very small amounts.
The cops investigating this case have found several customers who spotted the dogs in the evening, but none of them could recognize the owners.
They are now seeking public help to find the people responsible for abusing these dogs.

Update: Thanks to a tip received by a citizen, the cops have located the owner of the dogs. The owner will be charged with animal abandonment and mistreating animals. The cops have assured that the owner will not get the dogs back. However, the dogs are having a tough time recovering from abuse.
