A family out swimming in St. Louis, Missouri witnessed a horrific incident. The family reported seeing someone throw a dog from the top of a bridge. The poor dog landed on a rock and began crawling away.
Thanks to the kind folks who witnessed the abuse, the dog was rushed to an overnight clinic for help. According to a post on Facebook from Stray Rescue of St. Louis, “He was kept overnight in a nearby clinic until he was stable enough to travel to our trauma center. He has a left rear hip luxation with a bone fragment in the socket, his left front shoulder is injured but not fractured, and he has pneumothorax (a collapsed lung).”

No one knows why someone would do this to an innocent animal, but the pooch is waiting for his major injuries to heal so he can have hip surgery. The rescue group decided to name the pooch Scout.
