Rumble, a 5-week-old puppy, was barely holding on to life after being dumped in the bushes beside a mobile home park in Clarkson, Michigan.

A Good Samaritan heard his agonizing cries and found him covered in maggots. He was immediately rushed to the “Canine Companions Rescue Center”.

The staff assessed Rumble’s situation and feared that he wouldn’t make it through the night. He had heavy brain damage due to a fractured skull, and he was partially blinded due to blunt force trauma to his eyes and face. They hooked him up to life-support tubes and hoped for the best.

Rumble didn’t respond to the treatment and his condition grew worse. The brain damage had halted his bodily functions completely. The staff cared for him 24/7 and regulated his body temperature until he finally got stable!

Rumble has a very long road of recovery ahead of him. After a month of healing, the pooch has finally begun showing some personality. He is cognizant, but his complete recovery totally depends on the state of his neurological system.
