With Grueling Anxiety From Being In Shelter, He Just Wants A Family To Call His Own

Rocky, a four-and-a-half-year-old Labrador-Boxer mix, has been living at the Taunton Animal Shelter for an entire year now.

Shelter staff says Rocky is a wonderful pup who’s been sitting in his kennel for far too long and deserves a loving family.

Rocky is getting “kennel stressed” from being cooped up in there so long, but his mood elevates whenever he gets to play outside.

The shelter has posted about Rocky on social media, in the hopes of reaching someone who would considering adding this lovable guy to their family.

He is always smiling and wagging his tail, and has a lot of energy. He is best suited for an active person who will take him for walks and include him in their outdoor activities.

Rocky loves playing in the kiddie pool and water from the hose in the warm weather, and playing in the snow in the cold weather.

Training for Rocky will be recommended, as he still pulls on a leash, so he needs someone who will be patient with him. Shelter staff says Rocky learns very quickly.

Since he is very energetic, it’s best that he is in a home with no young kids. He would also prefer a home with no cats or other dogs, and of course a fenced-in yard!

Rocky is neutered and up to date on all of his vaccinations. His adoption fee has even been waved!

The shelter hopes they can find the perfect home for Rocky.
