They Thought She Was Set On Fire & Burned, But Her Scars Hid A Different Story

Little Pixie Princess was just a 5-week-old Pit Bull puppy when she was found twisting in pain in a family’s backyard. Pixie’s bald, hairless body was covered in oozing open wounds and ghastly scabs. The horrified family assumed that someone had set the puppy on fire!

When the rescuers from “LifeLine Animal Project” arrived, they were heartbroken to discover the truth behind Pixie’s unstable health. Her wounds were mostly due to demodex mange and mite infestation, which was further aggravated by continuous itching.

The rescuers believed that Pixie’s previous owner had completely neglected her, which possibly caused her to escape her home. Pixie was placed with foster care volunteer Daphne Bragg for further recovery.

For the next few weeks, Daphne diligently tended to Pixie’s diseased skin. She gave her medicated baths and introduced her to the other dogs in the family to help lift her mood.

Pixie began healing rapidly as she received tender love from her doggie siblings and foster family. However, it was Elliot, Daphne’s grown Pit Bull, who whole-heartedly took Pixie under his wings!

Elliot, who was also mange-infected at the time of rescue, deeply resonated with Pixie’s struggles and pain. He not only helped her recover, but also gave her a personal puppy training!
