A police officer recently saved a Pit Bull mix who was tied to the railroad tracks near Darby Station.
The dog, later named Thomas, was crying all night as he tried dodging the passing trains. He was very thankful to the officer who rescued him.

Thomas has been taken in by the Providence Animal Center. He doesn’t have any injuries, but is deeply traumatized by his cruel abandonment.
Although many concerned locals are interested in adopting Thomas, the workers want to take things slowly with him.
They will give the terrified pooch some space and time to feel safe before introducing him around other dogs and children.
Meanwhile, the local law enforcement is outraged at the callous manner in which Thomas’ owner dumped him. They have launched an investigation for animal cruelty.
They are currently looking for surveillance camera footage in the vicinity that might have captured the culprit’s actions.

We hope Thomas forgets his haunting past under the love and care from the shelter.
If you know anything about his abuser, you can contact the police at 610-566-1370 x214 and help in the investigation.
Spread the word so that this despicable criminal is caught and brought to justice soon.
