Dotty’s rescuers estimate that hundreds of people walked past her, while she suffered, and no one cared to help.
This tragic scenario is indicative of too many strays and not enough money to intervene. But should lack of money mean a lack of compassion?

The injured dog, that had maggots growing inside her wounds, tried to get through a closed gate. She underestimated the barred spacings and that cost her.
The poor girl, old and wounded, remained stuck in that gate until someone with a heart finally called the rescue group for help.

When the kind folks arrived, they saw Dotty, helpless and in pain. They couldn’t imagine how scared she must have been, trapped and alone.
She couldn’t do anything for herself other than wait while she starved. They had to act quickly. Her wound was badly infected and she was losing her life!
