Dog Senses The Sickest Elderly In A Hospital, Cuddles With Them Before They Die

Nala, a Teacup Poodle, never had any training as a therapy dog. She was found by Doug Dawson, a medical assistant in a senior nursing home in Minnesota. Nala’s previous owners called her “whiney and neurotic”, but to Doug, she was the sweetest dog ever.

Doug decided to bring Nala to his workplace, and this turned out to be a turning point in her life. Nala had a very sensitive and kind nature, and she would run frantically from room to room on her own accord, to comfort the sick patients.

The elderly residents at the nursing home consider Nala to be an angel from heaven. Nala has a special ability to sense which patients need her the most, so she ends up spending more time with Alzheimer patients, or the patients in their final days.

Today, Nala is so motivated, that she spends every day purposefully. She is used to riding the elevators alone, with the staff stepping in to help her navigate through the floors. This touching video has brought us to tears. Nala is undoubtedly an angel doing God’s work!

Check out the video below to watch how Nala brings hope to the patients in the nursing home with her constant love and affection!
