Michael Degado and his family faced an unexpected tragedy when their house collapsed during a tornado passing by Rowlett, Texas.
Michael’s brother and grandmother had to be pulled out of the rubble, and the family was taken to an emergency shelter.
However, Michael was worried about the well-being of his Pinscher puppy, Lucy, who was untraceable.
Two days later, the tornado settled and Michael was finally able to venture out to find Lucy. Some rescuers accompanied him and assisted in the search, but there was no sign of Lucy.
The rescuers worried whether the miniature puppy would have survived the tornado, but Michael refused to give up.
Onlookers were terrified as they saw Michael risking his life and diving through the hazardous debris looking for Lucy.
Then, all of a sudden, he heard a faint whimpering sound coming from a huge pile of wreckage.
He directly plunged his entire body into the wreckage and tried to follow the source of the whimpers.
In this video, we see the emotional moment when Michael finally spots Lucy and pulls her out of the rubble.
