The Humane Society of the United States sent their Animal Rescue Team to shut down a dog meat farm in Haemi, South Korea, that held over 170 dogs who could only await their fate to be slaughtered for their meat. And in the meantime, they suffered.

But all of these dogs were rescued and the cages emptied! And the last dog to be saved was a girl named Lou.
She spent her life on the end of a chain being bred repeatedly to supply puppies for the dog meat trade. But her time had finally come, and she couldn’t have been more excited! 🙂

After being freed, Lou ran around on her leash as happy as could be!
This marked the beginning of a second chance at life for all of these dogs, and it wouldn’t have been possible without the amazing support given to the Humane Society!
