Small Pup Barks In House, So Man Throws Him Out Window & Slams Him

An epidemic of animal abuse is making its way across the country and authorities are disgusted by the latest case they encountered. Police say 38-year-old Joshua W. Keets of Chillicothe, Ohio did the unthinkable to an innocent puppy.

Keets was allegedly seen throwing the 18-week-old pup from a window and then slamming it to the ground. Ross County Humane Society got involved, took possession of the seriously injured pooch, and transferred his care to MedVet Hospital in Worthington.

In addition to a traumatic brain injury, the tiny animal had fluid in his lungs.

It all started when a youngster heard her pup barking and then Keets, her mother’s boyfriend, threw the pup out the window. He slammed the pup to the ground, put him in a crate, picked the crate up, and threw that against a wooden fence.

The young lady went to check on the pooch and saw blood coming from his nose the next morning before school. When she got home that afternoon, the dog was taken to a vet by her grandmother.

Keets reportedly told police that the dog went to the bathroom inside so he put it outside. He says the pup nipped his hand and he meant no harm. Two other pups at the residence were seized by police.

In addition to animal cruelty charges pressed against Keets, his girlfriend, 36-year-old Belinda S. Hufferd was charged as well. She failed to seek help for the puppy after Keats abused him.

Sadly, the Ross County Humane Society shared on Facebook, “It is with tears and sadness that we let you know that he passed away. We haven’t even made it home yet and the call from his doctor just came in. His injuries were too severe for his body to overcome. We did everything we could do and it just wasn’t enough. I’m sorry.”
