When Animal Aid Unlimited got the call that there was a dog stuck in a storm drain they couldn’t imagine what they were about to find. As they arrived to rescue Phoenix, the street dog in India was taking her last breaths.
She had finally collapsed in a sewer, and even though the water was not deep, she had no strength to keep from drowning. She was barely able to keep her head above the water and her snout kept dipping into the water you can see the bubbles.
They carefully removed her from the water. When they lifted her they completely understood what was happening. Her back leg was completely shattered.
Phoenix was lifeless but still they set out to save her life. Her leg needed amputated but once the surgery was performed a miracle happened.
