As dog lovers and owners, we know dogs are animals with the biggest of hearts.
They can often sense when we are in distress and do what they think needs to be done to try and help out.
We even see them offer this empathy toward other animals from time to time.
For Gus, he’s all about these acts of kindness.
In the video below, you’ll see the gentle giant spot a bird trapped on the porch and capture it to safely release it back outside!
“Over the years we’ve had several birds get trapped on the porch (the door is open during the day for the dogs). Gus is very skilled at the gentle catch and release!” his owner Jennifer said.
