The mama elephant lets out a “rumbling roar”, which is actually a signal used by elephants to call for backup! Soon, the other elephants of the herd realize that someone is in crisis.
They follow the sound and arrive at the hilltop within seconds! Together, they let out their powerful “trumpet roars”, which is enough to scare off the wild dogs!
