Bri Burnett of Sweetwater, Texas, was alerted about a poor, frightened Labrador mix crying on a lonely dirt road.
When Bri arrived at the spot, she was shocked to see the dog’s face swollen after being needled with countless porcupine quills.
She was starving for quite a while, but could barely move her face, eat or even motion to cry.

Bri named the dog JoJo and somehow moved her into the car. JoJo was timid and scared, so the vet sedated her before removing the painful quills.
After an arduous 45 minutes, the quills were removed. Bri paid for the heavy vet bill herself, and took the scarred JoJo home.
