A Family’s Dog Passed Away, 2-Days Later, They Received ‘A Sign’ That Let Them Know Everything Was OK

Our dogs aren’t just our pets, they become family. So when they pass away, part of our hearts go with them. While it’s almost impossible to ever truly feel content with a pet’s departure, it does help to receive signs that remind us that our furry family members are ok.

The Callaghan family rescued their dog, Bandit, many years ago, and he quickly grew to be an important part of the family. They were his fourth home, and he finally found relief and happiness with them.

Bandit had a plethora of health problems, but the Callaghans always did their best to keep him comfortable. When he reached the age of 15, he had already had multiple surgeries in his life, and sadly passed away at the end of his last procedure.

As expected, the Callaghan family was left heartbroken. The days following Bandit’s death would be painstakingly difficult, but then they received a sign that let them know that Bandit was ok.

Since the family had spent a lot of time grieving, Bandit’s food and water bowls, along with all of his possessions, were still left out in their house. When his human mom looked down at his water bowl, she noticed something that sent chills up and down her body.

The water that was still left in the bowl was in the shape of a smiley face. While it could just be the way the water settled, the Callaghans believe that it’s a sign from doggy heaven, letting them know that Bandit is doing just fine.

Callaghan’s daughter, Catie, took a picture of the water bowl and posted the picture on Twitter. People all over the world found comfort in the smiley face, and soon, the tweet went viral with more than 13,000 retweets.

Hundreds of Twitter users gave their condolences to the Callaghans, while others explained that the same type of things happened to them after their pets passed away.

While this could all just be a big coincidence, it’s nice to think that doggy heaven truly does exist, and that we will all get to see our beloved furbabies again some day!
