Dogo Argentino is also known as the Argentine Mastiff and is a big and powerful dog with a muscular build similar to that of the Rottweiler.
But, since this dog has such short hair, its appearance shows it's all muscle.
It was bred as a pack hunting dog for big-game animals like wild boar and Puma.
This breed of dog possesses incredible strength and stamina along with quick intelligence and quick responsiveness.
This dog is also like the Rottweiler in that it's bred in one color only – white.
Fully grown, the male dog can measure 24 to 27 inches (60 to 68 centimeters) tall and weigh anywhere from 80 to 100 pounds (40 to 45 kilograms), depending on their height.
This dog has a set of evenly spaced sharp teeth that meet in a scissor bite and has powerful jaws.
This dog is a great protector – intelligent and courageous animal. They have been used in police protection work.
However, they have an unsteady temperament, and in one case, a Dogo fatally attacked the fiancé of a canine officer who owned the animal.
With that said, this is one powerful breed that belongs only in the hands of a trained professional.
