TikTok user BloodrootJewels was enjoying a quiet afternoon when something unexpected caught her eye. Up in a nearby tree, a squirrel had something small clutched in his tiny paws — and it definitely wasn’t an acorn.
The squirrel was holding a mini bottle of tequila, and from the looks of it, he was ready to party like it was Cinco de Mayo.
“I cannot believe I witnessed this,” she captioned the now-viral video.
Perched on a branch, the squirrel gripped the bottle with surprising confidence — like it was totally normal for woodland creatures to sip on tiny drinks.
The moment was so surreal and hilarious, it felt like something straight out of a cartoon.
A few days later, curiosity got the better of her, and she decided to check back in on her unlikely party guest. There he was, lounging peacefully in the tree — apparently recovered from whatever mischief he’d gotten into.
Below him on the ground sat the bottle, now thoroughly chewed up.
No one knows how the squirrel managed to snag the tequila, but it’s safe to say his wild night made for a one-of-a-kind memory — and thankfully, no hangover seemed to follow.
