Woman Snaps Photo Of Mysterious Furry Blob — Then Realizes Who It Really Is

When Taylor Borth set out to photograph wildlife in a snowy Canadian park, she expected to capture the usual winter scenes — maybe a squirrel here, a bird there. But one particular photo stopped her in her tracks.

On her camera screen appeared what looked like … a giant fuzzy blob.

“I honestly couldn’t tell what I was looking at,” Borth told The Dodo. “It just looked like a big, round, furry butt.”

Curious — and amused — Borth shared the mystery photo online, hoping it might give people a laugh. And it did.

“Apparently people thought my one photo was hilarious,” she said.

But the furry blob wasn’t a mystery for long. Turns out, it was a cheeky little beaver, doing his best to keep a low profile.

The beaver and his buddy were out on a snowy adventure, completely unfazed by Borth’s presence.

“They were very unbothered and let me get within a couple meters,” she said. “I actually caught them a few weeks ago chewing down a tree, too.”

Usually, the beavers make perfect models, posing gracefully among the snow and trees. But this time, one of them decided to turn his back to the camera — perhaps tired of the paparazzi.

“He clearly didn’t feel like posing that day,” Borth joked. “So I guess I got his ‘no photos, please’ angle.”

Sometimes, even wildlife needs a break from the spotlight — and this beaver made sure to make his point in the fluffiest way possible.
