According to Dr. Kathryn Primm, a practicing small animal veterinarian and practice owner at Applebrook Animal Hospital in Ooltewah, Tennessee, it's not because the dog's embarrassed.

    Yup. I second that! I watch to count how many time he goes so I know when he is done. Plus you can also tell if they are sick by seeing what comes out. I would hope everyone watches from time to time just for the dogs health reasons.
