Broken Hearted Dog Was Brought to a Shelter and Finds Out He’s Being Given Up

Animals do have a unique perception. They are fully aware whenever things aren’t okay. This dog, named “Toto,” found out that he was being given up when he stepped inside the busy Carson Animal Control office, in California, one Friday. In the video, you’ll see the instant Toto, a three-year-old Chihuahua, was given up along with a bit of his food.

Toto can be seen leaping up on his owner’s leg and trying to break free. The look on Toto’s face reveals it all. The main reason Toto was surrendered was because he was being too noisy. Which is, basically, a cheap excuse. There are many ways to handle this situation. You could always train your dog and training is available everywhere…

The Carson Animal Control office was frantic. They were almost full, and Toto had to find a foster home as soon as possible because a dog that is given up by their owner may be put down for any excuse.

Have a look at this video

Toto didn’t find a foster home. Thankfully, however, he got adopted instead! This adorable dog won’t have to worry about being given up again.

Don’t forget to share Toto’s story to all of your friends and family!

  1. I have a Chihuahua, yep, they’re noisy, yep they can be trained. Mine is trained pretty well not to go loud at the window, but sometimes his inner Chi takes over. He’s almost 9 and not going anywhere

  2. People suck and so do their excuses!!! I’m moving, I’m having a baby, I got an allergy, I gave to work 100 hours blah blah blah dogs are someone not something and they have feelings too!!

  3. I could NEVER take my baby’s to a Shelter just because they are being ” NOISY” get real all dogs are barkers and growlers some are ” VERY Noisy “Especially when they are HAPPY TO SEE YOU AFTER A LONG DAY of being home alone while you are working. I guess i just really LOVE my fur babies because when i leave and come back even if it’s only 5 mins my BEAGLE baby arfs and howls and barks with joy as does my baby Yorkie i could not imagine LIFE without them.

  4. He wanted a quite dog. That pisses me off. I’ve gotten threatening letters about my dogs barking. It’s a weird situation. I have a few dogs, but I’m very particular about them. They are aloud to bark but only during the day. They know not to bark when it’s dark out, unless it is an emergency. I keep getting very threatening letters that my dogs are barking at 3 in the morning, which is simply untrue. Our dogs sleep with us in the bed. Our bigger dog knows how to open the door to go outside if he needs to go in the night, but the little guys need help going, so i’m up if they need to be outside. never once have i heard them barking uncontrollably. Once One of them barked at a cat, but a simple shush and he stopped after 2 barks. I know barking can be annoying, i know none dog people hate it, and i know some dog people don’t like it consistently. But this is how dogs communicate, express themselves, and say hi to the world. If you cannot handle barking, then you shouldn’t get one, or at least do the research, their are dogs who are not big on barking. Our Rhodesian for instance only barks if there is a knock on the door, or fireworks in the park (twice a year). But maybe there is more to this story, maybe they live in an apartment, and Toto was being too loud and they didn’t know how to train him to quite down a little, and unfortunately sometimes we are stuck with this option. I pray that animal owners never are, but sadly…

  5. I could never let my beautiful fur babies go, but thankfully I’ve never been in that position. Our Old Lab girl was 2 and a half when we got her in Kalgoorlie, the local Ranger owned her and another dog and had 5 kids. He had to leave town rather unexpectedly and quickly for good with his family and couldn’t take the lab, so he was going to take her out bush and shoot her. Thank God a young acquaintance found out and took her in hoping to find her a new home. Thank God that home was ours, after 12 years another retriever sister, an abandoned kitten she suckled and us having 5 kids she passed peacefully with all of us with her. Best dog ever.

  6. Why humans suck. I got my GSD from a shelter she was 1. Her former owner didn’t want her. She was so very beautiful pure GSD when we got home she was so unsure of everybody she wouldn’t even bark . Well after a ton of love and finally getting I wouldn’t ever give her up she turned into the most loving dog ever. They are not Christmas gifts or something to get because they will look so cute in your purse. They are living feeling creatures. They are members of our Military they are police officers medical therapy and more. They are members of your family if you can’t commit to them then please do not get one.
