It sounds a bit scary at first, but this Rottweiler loves to purr when he gets hugged! As many Rottweiler owners will tell you this behavior is called “rottie rumbles” and they do it when they feel really good.

I have a rotti and they do this. There is a big difference between her growl and her rumble. If I didn’t know her, her growl would scare the$#%&!@*out of me.
