Mountain Dew’s Super Bowl Commercial Puppy Monkey Baby Will Make You Go “WTF?!”

Of all the Super Bowl commercials I've ever watched in the past, this one stands out as the weirdest commercial ever!!

This was the most recent Mountain Dew commercial titled, ‘Puppy Monkey Baby' which just aired during Super Bowl 50, between the Carolina Panthers and the Denver Broncos.

Here's the advertisement copy by Mountain Dew:

“When three friends decide to stay home for the night, a surprise visitor arrives with MTN DEW Kickstart on a mission to change their minds. #puppymonkeybaby
MTN DEW Kickstart. DEW. Juice. Caffeine.
Now in tasty new flavors, like Midnight Grape.”

Huh?!? WTF?!?! that was my initial reaction after watching it for the first time… maybe there's something deeper that i'm missing here.

Have to watch it a few times to make sure… I know puppy (a pug), monkey and a baby are cute on their own but… and I thought Japanese commercials were odd….

    People forget, the goal of a commercial is not necessarily to create good feelings but to create publicity……and they’ve certainly done that. It may have been a weird commercial, but as far as success goes, it was definitely successful since people are talking about it so much

    I find it…. a desperate grasp for attention.

    but only because its mountain dew, and theyre stupid. lol.

    however if someone were to make a show entirely about a pug monkey, im totally going to watch it.
