Pug Is Being Called A Hero For Saving Family In House Fire

A pug named Jersey is being called a hero because she woke her owners up just in time to save them from a house fire.

When Kim and Tom Zaker decided to sleep in the cool basement last September to escape the heat of the day, they had no clue what was about to happen to their family that night.

A fire tore through the main part of the house above and would have trapped and killed the couple, if not for the brave actions of their little pug, Jersey.

“In my mind Jersey is my hero,” said Tom.

    Poor Jersey. I feel bad for the man he likely thought he could save his wife and the pug. He will always regret not getting her out when he first heard him. I don’t envy him – he’s clearly heartbroken. I won’t judge a man panicking in a fire. Poor sweet pug

    They should NEVER have left without her the first time. I see where someone says they wouldn’t judge his leaving her…I do. She SAVED them…the least they could have done is return the favor. RIP Jersey…you deserved better.
