A pug named Jersey is being called a hero because she woke her owners up just in time to save them from a house fire.
When Kim and Tom Zaker decided to sleep in the cool basement last September to escape the heat of the day, they had no clue what was about to happen to their family that night.
A fire tore through the main part of the house above and would have trapped and killed the couple, if not for the brave actions of their little pug, Jersey.
“In my mind Jersey is my hero,” said Tom.

Completely agree, when he opened the door to see Jersey he should’ve picked him up. That’s exactly what I would’ve done with my Francis, picked him up and never let him go
