Pug Is Being Called A Hero For Saving Family In House Fire

A pug named Jersey is being called a hero because she woke her owners up just in time to save them from a house fire.

When Kim and Tom Zaker decided to sleep in the cool basement last September to escape the heat of the day, they had no clue what was about to happen to their family that night.

A fire tore through the main part of the house above and would have trapped and killed the couple, if not for the brave actions of their little pug, Jersey.

“In my mind Jersey is my hero,” said Tom.

    Our rescue pug, Gabriel, is also a hero. He lived on a farm and his family abandoned the farm leaving all the animals locked up without food or water. Gabriel escaped and led rescuers back to the farm and all the animals were saved. Nobody knew his real name but the shelter where we rescued him from felt he deserved an Angel’s name and named him Gabriel.
