Police were called when this lady left her dog in a hot car while she went into Walmart.
When she came back out to her car, a cop was waiting and made her sit in the hot car to see how her dog felt!
HuffingtonPost.com reports that this happened after the officer responded to the call about the dog being left in the car in Ohio:
“To prove a point, the officer made the woman sit inside of the warm car with the windows up and without the engine on for a few minutes.
The woman said she was fine but the officer noted she looked uncomfortable. The woman was advised if she did this again she would be cited.”
More: What To Do If You See A Dog In A Hot Car
The article notes that this isn’t the first time that an officer has done this. They say that last year another officer did the same thing to a woman who left her dog in a hot car in New Mexico.
That woman said that what the officer did was “abusive”. It was all caught on camera too.
Do you think it’s fair or is the officer going too far by making these people sit in a hot car after they leave their dogs in a hot car?

I think it wasn’t punishment, enough. She should have the dog taken away, before she kills it with her negligence.

That woman needs a lesson in humanity. She hasn’t got a clue about the treatment of life…especially a dog’s needs. Excessive heat will kill a dog quickly. They pant to stay cool. If the air around them is hotter than their own temperature, they can strokeout quickly. She’s s complete Moron to laugh at this. Abuse is abuse, period. I thought the cop was perfect in his judgement call. He should have left her in that car for an hour!
